Angela M. Miner, 95, of Shelbyville passed on May 11, 2021, at her home.
Born November 24, 1925, in Marion County, she was the daughter of Henry and Julia (Reckel) Reuter. She married Robert E. Miner on September 6, 1947.
Survivors include her sons, James Miner (Sue) of Indianapolis, and Alan Miner (Denise) of Muskego, Wisconsin; daughters, Janet Schmidt (Dick) of Shelbyville, and Carolyn Roberts (Mike) of Magnolia, Texas. Her love and guidance through the years cannot be measured.
Angela was the proud grandmother of Jennifer Seright, John Seright, Jason Miner, Aimee Hyden, Jill Miller, Christopher Schmidt, Brad Roberts, Craig Roberts, Ashley Miner, Sarah Letarte and Paul Miner; and eleven great-grandchildren. Each felt a close bond with her and will miss her dearly. Also surviving are her sister, Roseann Schonfeld of Fairland; and brother, Alfred Reuter of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Steven; daughter, Dolores; grandchildren, Brent Schmidt and Lauren Miner; sisters, Juliann Hoeing and Eileen Blatz; and brothers, Father Charles Reuter, Robert Reuter, Francis Reuter, Father Leon Reuter and Harold Reuter.
Angela made a warm and loving home for her family. She enjoyed traveling, hiking and the outdoors, the Texas bluebonnets, and even taking a hot air balloon ride across the skies of Phoenix. She was a member of the Clearview Homemakers Extension Club.
She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of St. Ann’s Altar Society. For many years she made homemade candy for the parish festival.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. in Shelbyville, with Father Mike Keucher officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the rosary recited at 9 a.m. Those not able to attend are invited to view the service via livestreaming on our facebook page www.facebook.com/freemanffh.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Shelbyville.
