Anthony Ray “Tony” Croft, 61, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at his daughter’s home in Greenfield.

He was born May 26, 1962, in Indianapolis, the son of Evert Ray Croft and Marcia (Mallory) Carpenter.

Tony is survived by the mother of his children, Annette Scott-Croft of Greenfield; daughters, Christina Palmer of Richmond, and Brenna Gardner and husband, Brian, of Greenfield; son, Collin Croft of Shelbyville; sister, Pamela Conover of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Aliyah and Ayvah; nieces, Maraysa Newton and husband, AJ, of Tennessee, and Kendra Conover of Shelbyville; and nephew, Nick Conover  of Nashville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Marvin Carpenter.

In 1981, he graduated from Morristown High School.

Tony was a member of the former Little Blue River Church of Christ.

He was an over the road truck driver for over 30 years.

Tony enjoyed going camping and spending time with his family and friends at Indian Lakes Campground in Batesville.  He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.

Private burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
