Barbara Conger

Barbara Conger, 75, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014. She was born December 17, 1938 in Rushville, the daughter of Charles and Joan (McConaha) Timmons. She married Richard Anthony “Tony” Conger on March 22, 1961, and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2006. Survivors include her sons, Jeff Conger and Brad Conger, both of Shelbyville and Greg Conger and wife, Sue, of Fishers; daughter, Kristi Amstutz and husband, Todd, of Noblesville; grandchildren, Nolan, Jesica, Eryn, Halle, Drew, Jayde, Andrea, Jordan, Dane, Austin and Danielle; great-grandchildren, Rilee, Anthony, Cole and Landon. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Barbara graduated from Rushville High School in 1957. She retired from Conger’s Bradley Hall Furniture in 2010. Barbara enjoyed reading and playing euchre and other card games with her friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. A gathering of friends and family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at The Fiddler’s Three, 1415 E. Michigan Road in Shelbyville. Services were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
