Betty G. Scott, 81, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, July 2, 2005, at Heritage House Convalescent Center. Born July 20, 1923, in Athens, Ohio, she was the daughter of Bart and Alice (May) Gibson. She married Carson King, and he preceded her in death. She married Bill Roberts, and he preceded her in death. She married Bill Scott, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include one brother, John Gibson of Shelbyville. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Welding. Mrs. Scott was an advertising sales representative for Shelbyville News for 45 years, retiring in 1990. She graduated from Shelbyville High School and attended University of Indiana. Mrs. Scott was a member of First Christian Church. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County United Fund Inc., 126 N.
