Betty L. "Betsy" Dalton

Betty L. “Betsy” Dalton, 93, of Franklin, formerly of Shelbyville passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at Otterbein Senior Living in Franklin. She was born May 3, 1926, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Arch B. and Evelyn (Schulte) Crews. On July 14, 1945, she married Wilson L. Dalton, and he preceded in death on May 19, 2007. Betsy is survived by her sons, Bart Dalton and wife, Barbara, of Lakewood, Washington, and Randall Dalton of Lexington, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to Wilson, Betsy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Dalton; and sister, Patricia Burton. Betsy lived in Shelbyville for 47 years, and then moved to Franklin in 1998, to the Franklin United Methodist Community (now Otterbein Senior Living). She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Tri Kappa, Indianapolis Museum of Art and Grace United Methodist Church. Betsy helped with Meals On Wheels for many years. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue River Foundation, 54 W. Broadway, Suite 1, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
