Beulah E. Riser

Beulah E. Riser, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Morristown Manor in Morristown. She was born June 22, 1932, in Vinton, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer and Wilma (Swick) Geer. On September 17, 1949, she married Vern Frank Riser, Jr., and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2014. Beulah is survived by her twin sister, Eulah Kessler of Bidwell, Ohio; and nephews, Tim Tucker and wife, Karen, of Indianapolis, Dennis Tucker and significant other, Dawn Rutherford, of Boggstown, and David Tucker and wife, Linda, of Akron, Ohio. In addition to Vern, Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jim Geer. Beulah loved the Lord and attended Grace Wesleyan Church and Vine Street Methodist Church. She retired from Indiana Bell/AT&T, with over 40 years of service. Beulah enjoyed nature, flower gardening and housekeeping. She was a doll collector. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
