Beverly Aldous 78, a devoted wife, grandmother, sister and friend, peacefully passed away on
April 15, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and kindness.
Born and raised in Shelbyville Indiana, Beverly attended St. Joseph Catholic Schools and later
graduated from Shelbyville High School. The values she developed during her early years—
spirituality, community, and compassion—remained with her throughout her life.
Beverly dedicated over three decades of her professional life to Delta Air Lines, beginning her
career in 1966 and retiring in 2002. Her work reflected her reliability, warmth, and commitment
to serving others. After marrying Fred in 1993, she moved to Arizona where she spent the past 32
years of her life.
In retirement, she continued to give back through her involvement with several charitable
organizations, always finding ways to support those in need.
She embraced life’s joys with enthusiasm. Beverly loved playing golf with her husband Fred, her
friends and was an active member of her ladies league at Arizona Golf Resort. She also enjoyed
relaxing with a glass of Chardonnay and spending lively evenings playing bunko with her friends
creating moments filled with laughter and lasting friendships.
Above all, Beverly cherished her family. She loved her stepdaughter Rachael, loved and adored
her grandchildren Avery and Logan James, who were the light of her life and brought her
immense joy and happiness.
Beverly is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Runnebohm Vrooman, and father Paul
Hatten.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 32 years, Fred Aldous; her sister, Barbara
Wiley (John Wiley); her stepdaughter, Rachael James; and her beloved grandchildren, Avery and
Logan James.
She is also survived by her nephew Steven Wiley, her nieces Sara Wiley, Susan Blosser.
Beverly will be remembered for her generous spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the
joy she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in her name to United Food Bank.
