Bradley Gene Nigh, 88, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Heritage House of Shelbyville. He was born August 7, 1932, in Shelby County, the son of Paul and Clara (Moore) Nigh. On January 18, 1957, he married his wife of 63 years, Barbara Clark, and she survives. In addition to Barbara, Brad is survived by his daughter, Christine Nigh-Muldoon and husband, Dennis Wayne, of Shelbyville; sisters, Dorothy Sexton and Donna Smothers, both of Shelbyville; grandsons, Bradley Wayne Muldoon and wife, Jennifer, and Jonathan Christopher Muldoon and girlfriend, Trica Muse; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Muldoon, Karlene Muldoon and Emma Muldoon. Brad was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Nigh, Marvin Nigh and Steve Nigh; and sisters, Frances Hoff, Phillis James, Joan Murphy and Mary Myers. He graduated in 1950 from Shelbyville High School. Brad attended Shelbyville Community Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1954 to 1956. Brad served at Fort Leonard Wood and West Point. Brad retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company in 1995, with 39 years of service. He was a past member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Brad enjoyed traveling and going fishing, especially in Canada and Florida. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Gerald Holmes officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, with military rites conducted by the local military committee. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.
