Brian Keith Denny, 60, of Shelbyville passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was born December 6, 1958, in Indianapolis, the son of Richard L. and Peggy J. Denny. Brian is survived by his daughters, Christi Lynn Denny, and Danielle R. Denny Slinker and wife, Lindsey; sister, Joyce A. Denny Swords; grandsons, Keith Denny, Brice Denny and fiance’, Sarah O’Dell, and Zachrious Cooper; step-mother, Mary Kay Denny; nephew, Bobby Swords and wife, DeAnn, nieces, Karlee Barnes and Kendra Barnes; great-nephew, Bobby J. Swords; great-niece, Ariana Barnes; step-brother, Dale Line; and step-sister, Jenny. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kristina Denny. Brian attended Morristown High School. He was a Local No. 18 Heat and Frost Insulators of Indianapolis, until he retired. Brian was a longtime member of the Eagles Aerie Lodge No. 766 and Moose Lodge No. 2118, both in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the funeral home, with Steve Ray officiating. Interment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Upon passing, Brian donated a gift to save lives of burn victims and cancer survivors of tissue and skin grafting. He was a resident of Heritage House Nursing Home in Shelbyville until he passed.
