Charles Robert Bankston, Jr.

Charles Robert Bankston Jr., 56, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 15, 1962, in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Charles Robert Sr. and Marilyn (Rash) Bankston. Charles is survived by his son, Bo Michael Bankston and wife, April, of Louisville; daughter, Bailey Bankston of Louisville; sisters, Ruby Morris of Waldron, Linda Ballman and husband, Jack, of Louisville, and Patricia Bostic and husband, Mario, of Arlington; grandchildren, Alex, Savannah and Owen; friend, Milly Engle; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Brandi Bankston. Charles was a 1980 graduate of Valley High School in Louisville. He was formerly the manager of Firestone in Louisville. Charles enjoyed music. He also leaves behind his cat, Skittles. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
