Clara Ilona Tolnay

Clara Ilona Tolnay, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Heritage House of Shelbyville.

She was born June 9, 1954, in Budapest, Hungary, the daughter of Gustav and Margaret Tolnay.

Clara is survived by her son, Robert White and wife, Loretta, of Fairland; daughter, Angela White of Shelbyville; sisters, Martha Powell of Manilla, and Cathy Tolnay of Santee, California; brothers, Gabor Tolnay of Richmond, and Gustav Tolnay of Plainfield; grandchildren, Cheyanne Rogers, Cierra Rogers, Summer White and Mason White; great-grandchild, River Woods; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Clara attended Warren High School.

She enjoyed gardening and arts and craft.

Private family services will be observed.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
