Danny Lee Suiter

Danny Lee Suiter, 81, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, surrounded by his family. He was a previous resident of Heritage House of Shelbyville. He was born May 11, 1939, in Shelbyville, the son of William Jr. and Katherine (Copple) Suiter. Danny is survived by his sisters, Sharyn Burton of Columbus, and Janice Smith of Shelbyville; brother, Kenny Suiter and wife, Susie, of Shelbyville; nephews, Todd Burton and Scott Smith; nieces, Jill Berling, Missy Hollenbeck, Kim Brown and Robin Collins; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and friend, Jesse Shull. Danny attended Shelbyville High School. He was one of the longest members of Trinity Methodist Church. Danny retired from Kennedy Car Liner (KCL), with 37 years of service. He loved his dog, Rags. Danny also loved to travel, flowers and telling stories to his friends and family. He will be missed by many, he left a special place in everyone’s heart that met him, and he never met a stranger. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
