Darlene Faye Nebel, 79, of Gwynneville, on Thursday, May 23, 2019 has gone home to be with our Lord. She was born February 3, 1940, in Union Township, Shelby County, Indiana, the daughter of Donald and Nadine (Tinsley) Bogue. On November 24, 1964, she married her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Gary Nebel, and he survives. In addition to Gary, Darlene is survived by her daughters, Judy Fisher and husband, David, of Fishers, and Deborah Nelson of Spring Hill, Tennessee; sons, Donald Albrecht and wife, Sandra, of Greenfield, Ronald Albrecht and wife, Laura, and Henry Albrecht and wife, Rhonda, both of Gwynneville; sister, Glenda Manor and husband, Gary, of New Castle; brother, Scott Bogue of Morristown; sister-in-law, Carolyn Zawrotny and husband, Mario Mele, of Morrestown, New Jersey; grandchildren, Kimberly Everette, Benjamin Fisher, Danielle Hudnall, Austin Paff, and Joshua, Sarah, Gary Christopher, Kaitlyn, Jordan and Candace Albrecht; great-grandchildren, Cole Everette, Maverick and Wolfgang Mueller, Kynliegh Harper and Annabelle Stang; and several nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Marcia Byrnes and Karen Slinker. She was a member of the Rushville Church of Christ. Darlene was a beautician, owning and operating Dar’s Boutique, for over 25 years. She and Gary also owned Gary’s Gunsmith Shop in Gwynneville. She was also a member of the Naamah Chapter 73 of the Order of Eastern Star and the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association. Darlene was an accomplished seamstress. She made customized pre-1800 buckskin dresses, including many wedding dresses. She also excelled in muzzleloading rifle competition, taking home many awards and prizes, with her marksmanship. Darlene was a pioneer in this competition for women, often competing against men. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown, with Eastern Star services at 8 p.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Rushville Church of Christ, 627 W 11th St. in Rushville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Jim Coyle officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
