David Alan Rasche

David Alan Rasche, 67, of Waldron passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at his home. He was born April 19, 1954, in Shelbyville, the son of Rev. Richard F. and Phyllis (Kuhn) Rasche. On December 28, 1980, he married his wife of 40 years, Peggy Lindsey, and she survives. In addition to Peggy of Waldron, David is survived by his mother of Shelbyville; daughters, Jaime Willis and husband, Brian, and Lindsey Rasche, both of Shelbyville; sister, Cheryl Cantrell and husband, Mike, of Fort Sumner, New Mexico; and grandchildren, Nicholas Hill, Brianna Willis and Makayla Jo Schutt. He was preceded in death by his father; and a nephew, Michael Cantrell II. David was a 1972 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He attended Ball State University. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ. David was a machinist at Service Engineering Inc. in Greenfield. His biggest passion was music, he enjoyed playing in a variety of bands. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Charles Jordan officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
