David Lee Crawley, 57, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at his home.
He was born March 12, 1962, in Shelbyville, the son of Clifford and Carolyn (Moster) Crawley. On June 3, 1988, he married his wife of 31 years, Carolyn Sue Graham, and she survives.
In addition to Carolyn, David is survived by his parents of Shelbyville; sons, J.D. Crawley and Kyle Crawley, both of Shelbyville; sister, Sherry Talbert and husband, Brian, of Shelbyville; mother-in-law, Lucille Cockerham and husband, Chester, of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, William Graham.
David graduated in 1980 from Shelbyville High School.
As a young boy, David began working at Kuhn Farms. Later, he became a machinist and then a CAD/CAM Programmer at Radius Aerospace, with over 35 years of service.
David was a member of the Eagles Aerie Lodge No. 766 and National Rifle Association.
He was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed hunting mushrooms, playing euchre, working on his Jeep and target shooting on the family property near Andersonville.
David also leaves behind his dogs, Colt and Abby; and cat, Brutus.
A gathering of friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
The Celebration of David’s life will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1 p.m.
