David Richard Downs

David Richard Downs, 75, of Shelbyville, formerly of Indianapolis passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 17, 1943, in Indianapolis, the son of James Herbert and Mary Nettie (Hall) Downs. His wife, Rosalie Downs, preceded him in death. David is survived by his siblings, James Herbert Downs II, Marietta Bustle, Catherine Jones, Patricia Brown, Sharon Hanley and husband, Dennis, Linda Cravens and Steven Downs and wife, Wanda. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Downs; two brothers; and six sisters. David attended Holy Cross Catholic School and Harry E. Wood High School. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. A celebration of David’s life will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 125 N.
