Debra Ruth Pritchard

Debra Ruth Pritchard, 59, of Indianapolis, formerly of Southwestern Hancock County passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born November 24, 1961, in Klameth Falls, Oregon, the daughter of Harry William and Susie Ann (Lingenfelter) McCoy. Debra is survived by her sister, Lynn Cory and husband, Mack, of Fortville; and niece, Christina Cory of Fortville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Debra graduated in 1980 from New Palestine High School, and attended Ball State University. She was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church. Debra formerly worked at Bunzl Distributions in Indianapolis, with 35 years of service. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, reading, reading romance novels, photography and attending sci-fi festivals. Debra loved music and baking. She also enjoyed flower gardening, including perennials, petunias, old-world roses and especially her favorite flower, violets. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
