Dolores Marie (Feltz) Lytle, 88, of Fairland passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.
She was born April 20, 1930, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Harry L. and Ethel M. (Irwin) Feltz. On June 14, 1947, she married Harold G. Lytle, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1994.
Dolores is survived by her sons, David L. Lytle of Fountaintown, William J. Lytle and wife, Shirley, of Needham, and Mark A. Lytle and wife, Annette, of Fairland; daughter-in-law, Darlene Lytle of Fairland; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to Harold, Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; son, James A. Lytle; daughter-in-law, Joyce Lytle; and granddaughter, Jennifer Lytle.
Dolores was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She retired in 2015, having worked at Arlington High School and Triton Central Schools, in the kitchen.
Dolores loved birds, flowers, gardening, cooking and crocheting. She also loved to travel, with her last big excursion being an Alaskan Cruise.
She also leaves behind her dog, Daisy.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday, June 25, 2018 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, with the rosary recited at 11 am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 pm Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. in Shelbyville, with Father John Maung officiating.
Interment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
