Donald E. Hampton

Donald E. Hampton, 71, of Greensburg, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on October 25, 1955, in Bedford, the son of Robert Hampton and Juanita (Hannum) McCullough.

Don is survived by his sons, Donald Hampton Jr. and wife, Amy, of Shelbyville, Mike Dolan and Todd Caplinger and wife, Kristina, both of Greensburg; several brothers and sisters including Bill Hampton and wife, Helen, Debbie White and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Kadie, Macie and Chad Hampton and Abbigail Turner; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Dean.

He formerly worked as a truck driver and a factory worker.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
