Dorleita June Addison

Dorleita June Addison, 84, of Gwynneville, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born November 28, 1933, in Connersville, the daughter of Reuben and Mary Elizabeth (Borem) Sexton. On August 13, 1950, she married Robert Addison, and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1997. Dorleita is survived by her daughter, Nancy Winkleman and husband, George, of Gwynneville; son, Timothy Addison and wife, Becky, of Indianapolis; brother, Victor Sexton and wife, Gudrun, of Mechanicsville, Virginia; sisters, Judy Daniel and husband, Paul, of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Anita Henderson and husband, Ralph, of Morristown; sister-in-law, Joan Addison of Gwynneville; grandchildren, Kimberly Winkleman, Jessica Winkleman, Serina Winkleman, Erika Smith and husband, Jimmy, and Stephen Collins and wife, Laura; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and great-grandchildren, Spencer Robert Jones and Addison Pearl Jones. Dorleita was a member of the Gwynneville Christian Church. She was formerly a waitress at the Bluebird Restaurant and owned a bookstore in Gwynneville. Dorleita was also a member of the Red Hat Society and a card club. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and playing cards. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent’s Womens Hospital, 8181 Township Line Road, Indianapolis, Indiana.
