Frances “Kay” Stonebraker Davenport, 84, of Fairland, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Compass Park in Franklin.
She was born February 26, 1937, in Illinois, the daughter of Nile Collins and Velta (Taylor) Jackson. She married Richard Davenport, and he preceded her in death.
Kay is survived by her son, Robbie Stonebraker and wife, Shawn, of Fairland; daughter, Elaine Moran of Fairland; sister, Angie Fulenchek of Goliad, Texas; brother, Steve Collins of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Taryn Moran, Heather Stonebraker and Katie Moran and fiance’, Brandon Powers; great-grandchildren, Cayden Rouse, Lillian Elliott, Gavin Powers, Taitym Moran and Kye Powers; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to Richard, Kay was preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her children, Hugh Tom Stonebraker; and sisters, Nyla Stout and Kathy Licht.
Kay graduated from Triton Central High School.
She worked as the office manager at Atruim Village in Indianapolis, retiring in 2006. Kay had formerly also worked at William’s Industries.
Kay was a member of the Saraha Grotto Order of Eastern Star in Englewood.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Inurnment will be at Washington Park East in Indianapolis at a later date.
