Frank A. Wasson, 86, of Muncie passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Westminster Village in Muncie.
He was born February 4, 1933, in Shelbyville, the son of Melvell A. and Lucretia M. (Henry) Wasson. On December 17, 1955, he married his wife of 63 years, Deloris J. Green, and she survives.
In addition to Deloris, Frank is survived by his niece, Paula Varmette of Winchester, Kentucky; nephews, Jay Wickens of Outer Banks, North Carolina, and Jeff Wickens of Charlotte CH, Virginia; and extended family members.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jocelyn Wickens; and brothers-in-law, Richard Green and Albert Wickens Jr.
He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1952.
Frank was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He retired from Westinghouse/ABB in Muncie, with 27 years of service in 1993.
Frank was a member of the Eagles Aerie Lodge No. 766 in Shelbyville.
He enjoyed traveling and woodworking.
Military graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
