Gary W. DeBaun

Gary W. DeBaun, 53, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009, at Major Hospital. Born July 16, 1956, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Robert DeBaun and Mary E. (Baatz) Helton. He married Deana S. Borden on February 18, 2008, and she survives. Other survivors are his daughters, Amy Israel and Kim Israel, both of Shelbyville; son, Austin Israel of Shelbyville; brothers, Tim DeBaun of Fairland and Danny DeBaun of Vevay; sister, Tammy DeBaun of Vevay; five grandchildren; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. DeBaun was employed as a laborer. He had attended Southwestern High School. Mr. DeBaun was a member of Norristown Masonic Lodge and the Indiana National Guard. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and farm. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and going to his Aunt Gloria's and Uncle Mike's. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Whitecotton officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gary W.
