Geraldine Martha "Jerry" Jewell

Geraldine Martha “Jerry” Jewell, 91, of Morristown, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.

She was born on August 14, 1935, in Carthage, the daughter of John Moore and Inez (Young) McClure. On August 14, 1951, she married Elmer Vernon Jewell, and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2008.

Jerry is survived by her sons, John Jewell of Beech Grove, and Stephen Jewell of Indianapolis.

In addition to Elmer, Jerry was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Moore in 1985.

Jerry was a member of the Morristown Nazarene Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.

She enjoyed making ceramic pieces and painting.

Visitation will be from 10 am to Noon, Friday, October 2, 2026, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St., in Morristown. Funeral services will follow.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
