Glenna L. Stocklin, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her home.
She was born on January 24, 1949, in New Castle, the daughter of Glenn M. and Mildred L. (Miller) Perry. On July 5, 1987, she married her husband of 39 years, Sam Stocklin, and he survives.
In addition to Sam, Glenna is survived by her sons, Mark S. Fisher of New Palestine, and Jeffrey T. Fisher of Surprise, Arizona; step-sons, Todd A. Stocklin and wife, Susan, of Shelbyville, and James R. Stocklin of Miami, Florida; sisters, Maurine E. McQuery and husband, Tom, of Shelbyville, and Ethel M. Kimbrough and husband, Larry, of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Samuel T. Stocklin and wife, Sarah, and Nolan R. Stocklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents.
In 1967, Glenna graduated from Triton Central High School.
She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
Glenna formerly worked for American States and Safeco insurance. She retired as a secretary for the Shelby County jail in 2011.
She loved to crochet and made beautiful afghans.
Private graveside services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville.
