Gloria J. Miller

Gloria J. Miller, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville.

She was born January 14, 1942, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Lewis S. and Emma J. (Maxwell) Baker.   On December 5, 1958, she married Edward Miller, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2022.

Gloria is survived by her son, William “Bill” Miller of Shelbyville; grandson, Christian Miller and partner, Emily Larrison; great-granddaughter, Willow Miller; sisters, Emma J. Lockwood of Beech Grove, Helen L. Lassiter, Betty P. Miller and Patricia Baker, all of Greenwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to Edward, Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, JR Baker, John Baker, William Baker; and sisters, Margaret Fogleman, Flora Agnes Podgorski and Katherine Diwigans.

Gloria attended Asbury Methodist Church in Indianapolis.

She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Marsh Grocery Store for 10 years preparing the salad bar.

Gloria loved traveling to Hawaii.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Jody and Casey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
