Gregory Leon Mobley, 53, of Hope, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at his home.
He was born on September 25, 1972, in Franklin, the son of Thomas J. Mobley and Linda (Hodson) Mobley Morgan.
Greg is survived by his mother and step-father, Linda Morgan and husband, Stephen, of Edinburgh; brothers, Thomas Joe Mobley II and wife, Shelly, of Virginia, and Ken Forrest Mobley and significant other, Tamara Taylor, of Whiteland; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father.
In 1991, Greg graduated from Triton Central High School and attended Lincoln Tech Diesel College.
He worked for Dave O’Mara Construction for over 10 years and was a member of the Operators Union Local 103. He had formerly been a member of the Laborer’s Union.
Greg enjoyed going fishing and prospecting for gold.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville. No funeral services per Greg’s request.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Atterbury Wounded Warrior Project Club.
