Jammie Marie Scott

Jammie Marie Scott, 82, of Fairland, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. She was born December 25, 1935, in Central City, Kentucky, the daughter of Guy and Mayme (Whitmer) Gossett. On July 20, 1955, she married her husband of 62 years, William Leslie “Les” Scott, and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2018. Jammie is survived by her daughter, Patricia McLaughlin of Shelbyville; son, Joseph Allen Scott of Indianapolis; grandson, Jordan Scott; and great-grandson, Sawyer Scott. In addition to Les, Jammie was preceded in death by her parents. Jammie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She graduated from Central City High School. Jammie enjoyed sewing, baking and playing the piano. Visitation will be from 11 am to noon, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 114 W. Rampart Road in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with Bishop Ray Brewer officiating. Interment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
