Janet Kay (Linne) Kelley

Janet Kay (Linne) Kelley, 66, a lifelong Shelbyville resident, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was born April 15, 1954, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Henry and Mary Alice (Soller) Linne. On November 15, 1975, she married her husband of 45 years, Robert W. “Bob” Kelley, and he survives. In addition to Bob, Janet is survived by her mother of Shelbyville; daughter, Julie Ann Neace and husband, Aaron, of Independence, Kentucky; son, Christopher R. Kelley and wife, Nicole, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brothers, Joe Linne and wife, Shirley, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, Dr. James Linne and wife, Sheryl, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Doug Linne of Shelbyville; sisters, Debbie Arthur and husband, Dr. Steve, of Evansville, and Kathy Zerr and husband, Mark, of Shelbyville; grandsons, Brayden Neace and Blake Neace; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Janet graduated in 1972 from Shelbyville High School, where she was homecoming and May court queen. She enjoyed her flower gardens, going shopping and decorating for the holidays. Janet loved her family and cherished the time she spent making memories with her grandsons. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2021 at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
