Janet S. Stuckey

Janet S. Stuckey, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Major Health Partners in Shelbyville.

She was born on December 26, 1942 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Claude and Delorise (Fair) Lovitt. She married her husband, John Stuckey, of 51 years on July 10, 1976, and he survives.

In addition to John, Janet is survived by her son, Jeffery Scott Pleak and wife, Gina, of New Palestine; brother, Jerry Lovitt and wife, Chris, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Jared Pleak and Jalen Pleak and wife, Alexa; great-grandchild, Caymen; and one niece and one nephew.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Sherri Lynn Pleak.

In 1961, Janet graduated from Shelbyville High School.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Janet retired in 2006 from Williams Industries, with 11 years of service. She had also formerly worked at Overhead Door for five years.

She enjoyed gardening.

Private graveside services will be conducted.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville.
