Jeanine Rose Blanford, 77, of Boggstown passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born September 12, 1943, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Eugene and Mildred (Todd) Stone. On November 29, 1969, she married her husband of 51 years, James Donald “Don” Blanford, and he survives. In addition to Don, Jeanine is survived by her children, Patrick Blanford and wife, Karen, of Indianapolis, Maureen Paul of Irvine, California, Sean Blanford and wife, Lisa, of Fairland, Theresa Hill of North Salem, Donna Widmer and husband, Jason, of Marysville, Ohio, and Paul Blanford and wife, Sara, of Needham; brothers, Mike Stone of Greenfield and Kevin Stone of Indianapolis; sisters, Mary Ann Haacker and Glenda Moore, both of Indianapolis, Patricia Locchetta of Las Vegas, Neveda; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jeanine was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Shelby County Homemakers. Jeanine enjoyed crafts and making afghans. She was a volunteer at Major Hospital. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. in Shelbyville, with Father Mike Keucher officiating. Interment will be at Boggstown Cemetery in Boggstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 2345 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46260.
