Jerry A. Epperson, 69, of Greenfield passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born January 6, 1952, in Greenfield, the daughter of Philip and Merlene (Bennett) Potts. On January 11, 1985, she married Herbert L. “J.R.” Epperson, and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2012. Jerry is survived by her son, Doug Inscore and wife, Gina, of Shelbyville; daughter, Dawn Veirs and husband, Ted, of Indianapolis; sisters, Moneca “Nickey” Hansome and husband, Kenny, of Shelbyville; Jan Culley of Fairland, and Terry Potts of Greenfield; brother, Randy Potts of Greenfield; grandchildren, Lane Inscore, Justin Inscore, Hannah Veirs and Jonah Veirs; great-grandchildren, Ridley Veirs and Wesley Veirs; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to J.R., Jerry was preceded in death by her parents. Jerry was formerly a retail representative for Merchandise Inc. in Cincinnati, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed sewing. Jerry loved caring for her family, and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She supported Indiana Concerns of Police Survivors. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
