Jessica Carroll “Jessie” Cox, 31, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville.
She was born January 14, 1990, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Stacy L. Cox.
Jessie is survived by her sisters, Jerrica Cox and boyfriend, Steven Townsend, and Haley Riddle and husband, Daniel, both of Shelbyville; aunts, Kelley Cox of Manilla, Stephanie Paxton and Edie Keesling, both of Shelbyville; uncle, Troy Cox and wife, Hope, of Indianapolis; nieces and nephews, that she dearly loved, Everly, Anastasia, Dakota, Avery, Kinley and Jorja; and best friend, Rachel Carlton.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Jessie graduated in 2009 from Shelbyville High School, where she was a member of Anime and French Clubs. She received her associates degree in graphic design from International Business College.
She was a member of the Bible Mission Church.
Jessie was a graphic designer for Gannett for over 10 years.
She enjoyed traveling and playing pokeman.
Jessie also leaves behind her dog, Rascal.
A gathering of friends will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
The Celebration of Jessie’s life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor David Gooding officiating.
