Jessie Ernest Dale Ferguson

Jessie Ernest Dale Ferguson, 43, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.

He was born March 16, 1979, in Indianapolis, the son of Dale and Trena Darlene (Cape) Ferguson.

Jessie is survived by his father of Fairland; sister, Martina Stephens of St. Paul; brother, Tony Ferguson of Indianapolis; nieces, Brittany Randall, Katie Lamb, Morgan Ferguson and Halley Arnett; nephew, Curt Stephens; and three great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Jessie worked as a custom framer, for Ferguson Construction, for 27 years.

He enjoyed watching Joel Osteen on television every Sunday morning.

Jessie enjoyed playing pool, going camping and hanging out with his family and friends. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.  Jessie loved going to Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to visit his aunts, uncles and cousins.

He loved and also leaves behind his dog, Darla.  He was preceded in death by his dog, Duke, and his cat, Sox.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the funeral home, with Minister Dennis Carnes officiating.

Interment will be at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
