Jill Arthur Griggs

Jill Arthur Griggs, 50, formerly of Shelby County, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in her home in Indianapolis, after a short illness. She was the daughter of Dale and Elaine (Harrell) Fair. Jill was born February 15, 1972, in Shelbyville. Jill lived and worked in Indianapolis, for over 30 years. She graduated from Southwestern High School in 1990, and A Cut Above Beauty Academy in 1992. On November 7, 2004, she married Aaron Griggs, and he survives. In addition to Aaron, Jill is survived by her mother of Shelbyville; step-daughter, Emily Griggs of Indianapolis; sister, Lori Scudder of Waldron; niece, McKayla Scudder of Waldron; and nephew, Stephan Scudder of Shelbyville. Jill passed away on the one-year anniversary of her father, Dale Fair’s passing. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Vema Harrell. A gathering of friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
