Joseph Edward Hart

Joseph Edward Hart, 81, passed away on April 18, 2020. Joe was born in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Maurice Deitzer Hart and Lena Marie (Bausback) Hart. He was the grandson of the grandson of the late Garrett Alfred Hart / Gertrude M. (Deitzer) Hart and Henry Frank Bausback / Mary Katherine (Ford) Bausback. He was preceded in death by brother Maurice Henry Hart, sister-in law Patricia Ann (Newby) Hart, and brother Jack Dale Hart. He is survived by brother and sister-in-law William Robert Hart and Mary Kay (Lux) Hart of Shelbyville, Indiana. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Brenda Lou (Isensee) Hart. They were married in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1963. He is also survived by daughter Katherine Marie (Hart) Smith (Jeff) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; daughter Julie Anna (Hart) Stone (Chris) of Lakeland, Florida; grand-daughters Jacqueline Hart (Stone) Fussell (Wes) and Rebecca Marie Stone, of Lakeland, Florida. Many nephews, nieces, cousins, and close friends join in mourning his departure. Joe retired as a sales executive in the pharmaceutical and blood chemistry field. Prior to that, he had a distinguished tour with the United States Navy as a Lieutenant (O-3) on the heavy cruisers USS Los Angeles (CA-135) and USS St. Paul (CA-73). Joe and Brenda were members of Doylestown Presbyterian Church in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Joe was a freemason for 53 years – a member of Shelby Lodge #28, F&AM, of Shelbyville, Indiana, and a Scottish Rite mason in the Valley of Indianapolis. He was a talented pianist and organist, and enjoyed working in his immaculate yard. Private family services will be observed. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations, if desired, be made to the Doylestown Health Foundation, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
