Joshua (Josh) Lee Shelton

Joshua (Josh) Lee Shelton of Westover, West Virginia, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away on July 29, 2020 at the age of 39. He was born May 14, 1981, Roanoke, Virginia, the son of Daniel Lee Shelton and Mary Margaret (Tewell) Bell. Josh is survived by his mother, Mary Bell and husband, Lowell, of Fountaintown; sister, Patricia Ann Shelton of Shelbyville; maternal grandmother, Barbara Martindale and husband William of Roanoke, VA; nephew, Tyler Lee Adkins; niece, Rhiannon Lee Alexander; and step-mother, Jean Guy-Shelton of Westover, WV. He was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandfather, Robert Tewell. Josh worked as an electrician, and most recently worked in the painting field. He enjoyed traveling to music festivals and his favorite band was The Grateful Dead. Josh loved dogs, especially his departed Django, and his most recent best friend Pooper. Josh was affectionally known as “Poo” and was liked by all who met him due to his kind heart and way to spin a story. A Celebration of Josh’s life will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
