Juan G. Tanori Rivera

Juan G. Tanori Rivera, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born January 20, 1963, in Empalme, Sonra, Mexico, the son of Miguel and Evangelina (Rivera) Tanori.

Juan is survived by his wife, Maria E. Rodriguez of Falmounth; children, Miguel Tanori and wife, Paulina, of Falmouth, Sarahi Tanori and Jose D. Tanori both of Indianapolis; brothers, Miguel Tanori Rivera and wife, Armida, of Chihuahua, Mexico, Martin Tanori Rivera of Empalme, Mexico and Fernando A. Tanori Rivera and wife, Lucinda, of Bacum, Mexico; sisters, Carmen Jasso of Tucson, Arizona, and Monica Tanori Rivera of Florence, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jeremiah Tanori, Hezekiah Y. Tanori and Waylon D. Tanori; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Juan also leaves behind his dog, Oakley.

He had obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer science and programming.

Juan enjoyed metal detecting, cooking, going fishing and camping, gardening, and drives in the rain.

He loved God above all things and reading his Bible.

Juan also loved music, drinking coffee and sharing his wisdom with others.

Private graveside services are entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
