Judy A. Theobald

Judy A. Theobald, 70, of Manilla, passed away, Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.

She was born February 16, 1953, in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of Bill McCormick and Lois (Sanders) Cloutier.  On September 26, 1970, she married Gary Theobald and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2012.

Judy is survived by her mother and step-father, Bob, of Fountaintown; son, Bryon Theobald of Manilla; daughter, Dana Theobald Essex (Patrick) of Morristown; brothers, Don McCormick (Becky) of Beech Grove and Ray McCormick (Connie) of Shirley; sister, Bonnie Goodpaster (Darrell) of Greenfield; and grandchildren, Collin Essex (Mckayla), Carson Essex (Libby), Camden Essex, Parker Theobald, Savannah Theobald and Brandon Willey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to Gary, Judy was preceded in death by her father; niece, Natalie “Nikki” McCormick; and nephew, Tyler McCormick.

Judy graduated from Morristown High School in 1970.

She attended Brandywine Community Church.

Judy was formerly at clerk at the On The Way Mini-mart in Manilla.

She enjoyed crafting, gardening, painting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 am to Noon, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.

Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
