Karen Gaye Rittenberry, 58, of Shelbyville, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at IU Health Methodist in Indianapolis.

She was born July 7, 1966, in Greenfield, the daughter of Clifford and Winnie (Parker) Rittenberry.

Karen leaves behind her life partner, Wendi Andrews of Shelbyville; step-daughters, Chelsie Spears and husband, Patrick, of Rushville, Andrea Boucher and finance’, Matthew Clarkston, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Taylor Andrews of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kaidyne Boucher, Amara West, Nevaeh Spears, Leon Spears, Zarek Clarkston and Zayda Clarkston; and two sisters of Greenfield, one sister in Florida, and one brother in Georgia. She also leaves behind her dogs, Otis and Paisley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Karen graduated from Roncalli High School.

She worked for Indiana Car and Truck for 25 years.

Karen enjoyed playing the guitar, painting and drawing.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held from 7 to 9 pm, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Sunset Park, 544 Sunset Park Drive in Shelbyville.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
