Kathryn E. Cole

Kathryn Elizabeth Cole, 81, of Morristown, died Sunday July 3, 2005, at Kindred Hospital, in Greenwood. Born Feb. 12, 1924, in Hancock County, she was the daughter of Carl Earl and Edith Elizabeth (Weber) Schilling. She married Paul E. Cole on Nov. 24, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1997. Survivors include one daughter, Judy A. (husband, Charles) Henson of Shelbyville; two brothers, Earl Schilling of Rushville and C.W. Schilling of Fountaintown; three granddaughters, Julie R. (husband, Brady) Ramsey of Morristown, Christina A. Henson of Greenfield and Jennifer L. (husband, Jason) Neuenschwander of Chicago; and two great-grandchildren, Luke Austin Ramsey and Megan Elizabeth Ramsey, both of Morristown. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Alyea. Mrs. Cole had been a bank teller and facility manager at Shelby National Bank, retiring in 1972, after 17 years of service. She graduated in 1942 from New Palestine High School. Mrs. Cole was a member of Fountaintown Christian Church, where she was a member of the Mite Society. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Frazier Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, in Morristown.
