Keith Sigman, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at his home.
He was born May 24, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Morsain and Lura (Hadley) Sigman. On September 14, 1958, he married his wife of 63 years, Mary Eberhart, and she survives.
In addition to Mary, Keith is survived by his sons, Tony Sigman and wife, Kim, of Shelbyville, and Tim Sigman of Key West, Florida; daughters, Trudy Hogan and husband, David, of Shelbyville, and Tammy Brown and husband, Doyle, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; brother, Vernon Sigman and wife, Pat, of Trafalgar; sister, Lorean Baxter of Martinsville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teresa Sigman; brother, Bruce Sigman; sister-in-law, Ethel Sigman; brother-in-law Lynn Baxter; a grandchild; and great-grandchild.
He was a member of the Bengal Christian Church, where he formerly served as an elder.
Keith was a dairy farmer and retired from Kroger, with 42 years of service. He also delivered papers for the Indianapolis Star and Shelbyville News, from 1978 to 2012.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany, during the Korean Conflict.
Keith was a member of the Marietta Volunteer Fire Department from 1959 to 1982.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville; and from 9:30 to 10 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, 4449 S. Smithland Road in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the church.
Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
