Kenneth Ray "Big Kenny" Meal Sr.

Kenneth Ray “Big Kenny” Meal Sr., 59, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation in Franklin.

He was born November 21, 1962, in Shelbyville, the son of Jack and Norma (Tennell) Meal.

Kenny is survived by his sons, Kenneth Meal II and fiance’, Teresa Newell, of Flat Rock, and Kristopher Meal of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Tyler Brickley, Kennedy Eldridge, Justice Meal, Khayden Meal, Rayden Ramsey, Drayden Meal and Jhayden Meal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister.

Kenneth enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

A gathering of friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

The Celebration of Kenny’s Life will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Johnson County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
