Kimberly Dawn “Clem” Karnes, 50, of Shelbyville passed away August 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born July 4, 1969, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Allan G. Sr. and Margaret Ann (Munden) Karnes. Clem is survived by her sisters, Sue Moore and husband, Rod, and Margaret Jean Karnes, both of Shelbyville; brothers, Gary Wayne Karnes and wife, Mandy, and Larry Scott Karnes and wife, Gina, both of Shelbyville; nieces and nephews, Mandy Barngrover, John Karnes, Justin Karnes, Sabrina Sullivan, Miranda Moore, Roddy Moore, Samantha East, Alexis Karnes, Dallas Karnes, Kenzie Karnes, Larry Karnes Jr., Reggie Karnes, Jennifer Shugert and Chelsea Karnes; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Allan G. Karnes Jr. Clem was a 1988 graduate of Shelbyville High School and received her associates degree from the University of Cincinnati. She enjoyed art and poetry. Clem loved spending time with the family, especially the little ones, since she was truly a kid at heart. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, August 26, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at noon, Monday at the funeral home, with Seth Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
