Lillian E. Perry

Lillian E. Perry, 87, of Shelbyville passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at Morristown Manor in Morristown. She was born May 6, 1932, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Owen and Marjorie A. (Stepp) Ausman. She married John Perry in 1985, and he preceded her in death in 2000. Lillian is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Hicks of Shelbyville, and Martha Sturgis of Indianapolis; sons, Larry Sturgis of Shelbyville, and Jeff Sturgis of Florida; brother, James Aussman of Washington State; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to John, Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Robert VarCados. Lillian was a high school graduate. She worked as a nursing assistant for the Veterans Administration for 32 years, retiring in 1998. Lillian was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and watching television. Private family services will be observed. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
