Lillie Gephart

Lillie Gephart, 93, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, March, 17, 2005, at Ashford Place Health Center. Born Oct. 22, 1911, in Rush County, she was the daughter of Rylie and Carrie (Downey) Bogue. She married Clarence J. Gephart on Oct. 26, 1929, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1978. Survivors include two sons, James "Jim" (wife, Martha) Gephart of Shelbyville and Kenneth (wife, Shirley) Gephart of Rush County; two daughters, Barbara (husband, John) Branson of Rays Crossing and Judy (husband, Roy) Ginn of Dundee, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Nolan Bogue; two sisters, Ruth Brown and Laura Gurley; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Gephart was a farmer and farm wife in Rush County, retiring in the early 1970s. She was a member of Rays Crossing Christian Union Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Concord Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerri Cadwallader officiating.
