Maralyn Elaine Eads

Maralyn Elaine Eads, 81, of Shelbyville, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.

She was born on August 28, 1945, in Rushville, the daughter of Russell and Gladys (Fritts) Aldridge. On July 24, 1965, she married David L. Eads, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2019.

Maralyn is survived by her son, Jeffrey Scott Eads and wife, Jenefer; grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna and Jared; great-grandson, Denver; and brother-in-law, Richard Skillman.

In addition to David, Maralyn was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Carolyn Skillman; sisters, June Isley, JoAnne Heck and Betty Mosburg; and brothers, Earl Aldridge and Lowell Aldridge.

Maralyn was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church.

She formerly worked at KCL for over 25 years, and later at Walmart.

Maralyn enjoyed tending to “her yard” and flower gardens.

Visitation will be from 10 am to Noon, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 819 S. Harrison St., in Shelbyville. Funeral services will follow, with Pastor Dwayne Russell officiating.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
