Marilyn Suzanne Morrison

Marilyn Suzanne Morrison, 76, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Otterbein and Franklin SeniorLife Community in Franklin. She was born November 6, 1942, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Henry and Thelma (Collins) Bausback. On September 29, 2002, she married Sammie D. “Sam” Morrison, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2003. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Kevin Wilson and wife, Corinna, of Kansas City, Missouri, Jeff Wilson and wife, Shelly, of Fishers, Jason Wilson and wife, Heather, of South Bend, and Kyle Wilson and wife, Angie, of Shelbyville; daughters, Kathy San Juan and husband, Paul, of Springfield, Georgia, Julie Pendergast and husband, Patrick, of Port Washington, Wisconsin, and Kristina Wilson of Shelbyville; brother, Jon Bausback and wife, Nancy, of Michigan City; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to Sam, Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents. Marilyn graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1960, and Ivy Tech in 1985, with a nursing degree. She was a member of Little Blue River Baptist Church. Marilyn formerly worked at Major Hospital, Shelby County Family Medicine, Altenheim in Beech Grove and retired from St. Francis Hospital. She enjoyed archery, gardening and volunteering at Major Hospital. Marilyn was a member of Country Pals Home Economics Club and Psi Iota Xi Sorority. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Private funeral services will be conducted and she will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to Benesse Oncology Center, 2455 Intelliplex Drive, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
