Mark Alan Goodwin

Mark Alan Goodwin, of Sevierville, Tennessee, formerly of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away at home on September 21, 2026.

Born January 7, 1966, in Shelbyville, Indiana, he was the son of Wayne and Jimmie Ann (Hickman) Goodwin.

He is survived by daughters, Chelsee (Joshua) Klepfer and Brooke Goodwin; sisters, Kristin (Michael) Wines, and Kelly (Todd) Ashman; nephews, Aidan Buckley, Ashton Wines, and Charlie Ashman; nieces, Taylor Hensler, Victoria Gardner, and Shelby Hampton; five grandchildren, and his favorite four-legged friend, Chunk.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmie Ann Buckley; step-father, Robert W. Buckley; his father Wayne Goodwin; and his grandmother, Alice Money.

He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1984. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served until August 1995. He later received his technical degree as an LPN.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Vertical Church in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, Indiana.
