Mark Henry Toon

Mark Henry Toon, 62, of Morristown passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home. He was born January 22, 1957, in Shelbyville, the son of James C. and Phyllis (Sleeth) Toon. On September 8, 1979, he married his wife of 40 years, Katrina “Deedee” Macy, and she survives. In addition to Deedee, Mark is survived by his sons, Marcus Gene Toon of Connersville, and Anthony Carter Toon of Morristown; brother, James “Mike” Toon of Morristown; sister, Martha A. Jarman and husband, Jeff, of Rushville; grandson, Xavier “Buster” Toon; granddaughter, Mya Grace Autrey (Toon); sister-in-law, Katrina Jean Macy of Morristown; nephews, James D. Toon and wife, Leslie, of Castleton, and Brandon M. Toon of Morristown; niece, Kayla M. Toon of Chicago, Illinois; and special friend, Debbie Armstrong of Morristown. Mark was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sherri Kleiman; and nephew, Daniel Vise. He graduated in 1975 from Eastern Hancock High School. Mark was a member of Morristown Christian Church. He retired as a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in 2019, with 25 years of service. Mark was also a member of the National Rifle Association and Rural Postal Carrier Union. He enjoyed fishing, camping, trapping, hunting and canoeing. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 27. 2019 and from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the funeral home, with Mike Smith officiating.
